1 Dementia Caregiver Therapy Session
1 Hour Video or Phone Call
Description
A one-time dementia caregiver therapy coaching session provides practical guidance and emotional support tailored to your family's unique situation. Whether you're caring for someone with Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia (FTD), Lewy body dementia, vascular dementia, Parkinson's disease dementia, or another form of cognitive impairment, we'll work together to identify what's driving the behaviors you're experiencing and develop realistic strategies you can begin using immediately. Common topics include aggression, refusal of care, sundowning, hallucinations and delusions, medication resistance, family conflict, caregiver burnout, preparing for memory care, or simply feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. Sessions are conducted by phone and are designed to leave you with greater clarity, practical communication techniques, and a personalized action plan that fits your loved one's needs and your family's circumstances. In an effort to make support affordable for more people, I reserve some time for people experiencing financial hardship on a “pay what you can” basis. If you need to pay a reduced fee, please do not hesitate to ask me about it and I will offer what I can. We can work together to determine the frequency of sessions.
