Frequently asked questions
I provide coaching, not direct care. I help people who have recently been diagnosed and are in what is called the 'Mild Cognitive Impairment' stage.
I advise these clients on the steps they need to take in order to secure a happy future in light of their diagnosis. I answer questions about the diagnosis, prognosis and long term care options. I also help these clients process the complicated emotions that come with the diagnosis, so they feel more confident about themselves and their future.
As a doula, I enable people on their own caregiver journey. I coach caregivers and family members of people with dementia, on how to best interact with their loved one and how to avoid unnecessary hardship. I do not provide any direct care support to people in need of caregiving. I am not a home caregiver or a nurse.
